Balsamic Braised Beet Greens and Swiss Chard

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp canola oil
  • 2 Tbsp fresh garlic peeled and sliced
  • 4 cup Swiss chard chopped, including stems
  • 8 cup beet greens chopped, including stems
  • 3 Tbsp white balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Prep all the ingredients separately. Chop the greens into bite sized pieces (including stems).
    In a heavy bottomed sauté pan, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and sweat until translucent. Next, add the swiss chard and beet greens. Deglaze the pan with wine and white balsamic. Cook for 1-2 minutes to wilt the greens. Add salt and serve hot.
